During our visit to Jamaica last year, the resort had a surprise guest, a BOAT. YES!! Exactly what a boat lover dreams about during a winter vacation in the sun was sitting off our beach. The cable ship, 'Ile de Batz' was actually laying a fibre optic cable to link up Cuba to the rest of the world. Cuba Spring in the works? Who knows. We were also surprised to find out that the ship was owned by Alcatel Lucent which also has offices here in Kanata. Janice, a 'boat lover' in the making also got a nice shot of the Ile de Batz through a terrace window.
